Outflow Opens New Emergency Shelter for Men in Saint John

After the Salvation Army announced that it would be closing the Center of Hope, which housed Saint John’s only year round emergency shelter for men experiencing homelessness, community and government quickly worked together to ensure that another option was available.  On the evening of April 30th, 2014, Outflow opened a new men’s shelter at a temporary location (344 Somerset Street) while their permanent location is under renovation.  For more information contact Tony Dickinson at anthony@outflowsj.com or by phone (506) 609-2346.

The news release from the department of Social Development can be viewed here.

  1. Is there any need for footwear, coats, towels, and vests, I have extra and would like them to be given to men whom may need it, my husband could drop them off since he works in SJ.
