After the Salvation Army announced that it would be closing the Center of Hope, which housed Saint John’s only year round emergency shelter for men experiencing homelessness, community and government quickly worked together to ensure that another option was available. On the evening of April 30th, 2014, Outflow opened a new men’s shelter at a temporary location (344 Somerset Street) while their permanent location is under renovation.
