Rights of the Child

November 20th is Universal Children’s Day!

On November 20th, 1989, the UN General Assembly adopted the Convention of the Rights of the Child (Canada ratified this convention in 1991). That’s why Universal Children’s Day is celebrated on this day.

Under this convention, there are 42 articles describing the rights of children.  You can find a UNICEF fact sheet which gives an overview of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, here: UNICEF Fact Sheet
